In Spirit & Life Family Bible Church we believe…
1. That God exists in three persons – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
“For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.” I John 5:7 NKJV
2. That Jesus is both God and Man. Born by a virgin called Mary. Led a sin free life, took all sins on himself, died and rose again. He is seated at the right hand of the Father as High priest and Mediator.
“By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,” I John 4:2 NKJV
“Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.” Luke 1:26-27 NKJV
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” II Corinthians 5:21 NKJV
“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29 NKJV
“So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.” Mark 16:19 NKJV
3. That Sin has separated us all from God and Jesus alone is the key to reconciliation back to God.
“Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.” Isaiah 59:1-2 NKJV
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,” II Corinthians 5:17-18 NKJV
“For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled” Colossians 1:19-21 NKJV
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 NKJV
4. That the Holy Spirit is sent by God as our comforter and guide. Who empowers us with Gifts of the Spirit.
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” John 14:26 NKJV
5. That the bible is God’s Word. It’s our guide and final say to all matters of life.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.”
Psalms 119:105 NKJV
“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:20-22 NKJV
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” II Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV
6. That only through preaching the Gospel of Jesus can the World be saved.
“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15 NKJV
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” Romans 1:16 NKJV.
7. That salvation is the free gift from God to man. This gift is by Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ that produces good works.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
8. That righteousness is by Faith in Jesus alone and not by our works
“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works.” Romans 4:5-6
“For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.” Romans 4:13
“Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death'” Phil 3:8-10,
9. That you are forever forgiven of all your sins through your faith in Christ Jesus alone.
‘Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s:for this he did once, when he offered up himself.” Heb 7:27
“But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God.” Heb 10:12
“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” Heb 10-16-17
10. That water baptism by immersion demonstrates a believers identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” Acts 1:5
“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:3-4
“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” Galatians 3:27
11. That Healing is for all and Jesus has paid the price for all to be healed of sickness and diseases as they trust Him.
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:yet we did esteem him-stricken,smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions,he was bruised for our iniquities:the chastisement of our peace was upon him;and with his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4-5
“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.” Matthew 4:23,
“Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.” Jeremiah 33:6
12. That Holy Communion is a remembrance of Jesus and His finished work on the cross.
“For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. This do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come” 1 Cor 11:23-26.
13. That Marriage is for life as an institution that God ordained between a Man and a Woman.
“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh” Genesis 2:24
“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh” Prov 18:22
14. That God wants us to prosper in all areas of our lives and be a blessing to others.

15. That our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again just as He promised.
“Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Matthew 24:30
“Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.” Mark 13:26-27 NKJV
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.” Revelation 22:12 NKJV
“He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” Revelation 22:20-21 NKJV
